First-Person EA Blogger Tweets About Crazy DRM Practices

We recently featured several stories that talk about needing a constant Internet connection to play the single-player campaigns of popular new PC titles. As Bitmob community member Aaron Betts stated, this practice could easily be the death knell of PC games. It seems we are not the only ones that are unhappy about the direction game developers are headed to combat piracy — EA's first-party blogger and editor-in-chief of EA.com, Jeff Green, seems to be frustrated as well [via Technabob]:

It's rare that a popular and well-known mouthpiece would make such an outspoken statement about an unpopular practice of the company that signs his paychecks. If Green can voice his critical opinions, maybe we can still win this battle. We can only hope.
