The creator of Space Invaders, Taito, are still releasing arcade games, and these japanese quarter-munchers are a little strange by U.S. standards. One such game is an all-new version of Space Invaders designed to appeal to girls, though with only one blue button and one pink button, how you blast aliens is still a mystery [Technabob via 4Gamer]:
Talk about your US-to-Japan communication barriers — other popular new arcade games feature a restaurant-table tossing game where you push on a table at the right time to win, a tree of some kind that looks like it takes pictures, what looks to be an elaborate fighting game featuring two yellow blobs where you stand on purple platforms and hold on with handlebars, and more.
