Remember that kid in school that always wore knock-off clothing? Shoes made by Neke or jeans made by Levo’s? Well, here comes the PXP-2000, a handheld device that looks a little similar to something Sony just released. It has roughly the same size screen, which slides up to reveal a digital directional pad on the left and four buttons on the right, which also happen to have a square, a circle, a triangle, and an X. The PXP-2000 does not use traditional media; the content is downloadable [via Technabob].
We have not studied this product up close, so we will not speak to its quality. Just don’t expect to play Gran Turismo 5 on this thing — it’s actually an emulator for old 16- and 32-bit systems. At $83.99, it’s actually a neat little product. It has a built-in camera, an FM tuner, plays all kinds of audio and video, and will even play handheld games from the GameBoy and GameBoy Color. If China Grabber avoids being sued, this could be the heart-breaking gift of the holiday season.
