The definitive football-film archivists and documentarians at NFL Films dived into the classic 8-bit pigskin sim Tecmo Bowl for a new episode of NFL Films Presents.

NFL Films Presents: Tecmo Bowl follows four of the top Tecmo Bowl players in the country as they prepare and compete in the game’s largest tournament in Madison, Wisconsin. The show also features interviews with current NFL stars who grew up playing Tecmo Bowl.

In one clip, the NFL Films production team shows Christian “The Nigerian Nightmare” Okoye — who was a dominant player in the game for the Kansas City Chiefs — a YouTube clip of someone shrugging off dozens of tackles in a single play using his digital character. They even have him play the game for the first time, and he struggles to stop his Tecmo Bowl representation.

This episode aired previously at 12:30 A.M. on October 22. The official image above is incorrect, the first showing is early tomorrow October 23 at 12:30 A.M.
