If you think Nintendo’s 3DS eShop is boring, then a few of the publisher’s big mascot characters are coming to the rescue.

Beginning Oct. 18, Nintendo plans on releasing Super Mario 3D Land, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, and Mario Kart 7 on the 3DS eShop for $39.99 each. For those keeping score, each of these games are full retail releases.

The eShop, the 3DS handheld’s digital-download service, is flooded with scores of weird $5 to $10 games. Titles like Mutant Mudds, Freakyforms, and Dillon’s Rolling Western have received decent reviews, but they don’t elicit much of a response from most Nintendo fans. These smaller downloads could benefit if these popular releases bring more people into the eShop.

This new lineup joins New Super Mario Bros. 2 as the most expensive games on the service. Full retail games Cross Words Plus and Art Academy: Lessons For Everyone are also available on the eShop now for $29.99. Those latter two are also part of a free-game promotion that includes Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and Style Savvy: Trendsetters.
