Entertainment 360 and Griffin Gaming Partners today announced the launch of HITpoint Entertainment, a new company dedicated to bringing the characters, worlds, and stories of video games to film and television.

HITpoint brings together Entertainment 360, the talent management and production company, with Griffin Gaming Partners, the biggest gaming venture capital firm with over $1.6 billion assets under management, investing across the video game industry and its adjacencies.

HITpoint will source, develop, package, and produce adaptations across the full range
of genres represented in gaming – from action, horror, and high-concept spectacle to
comedy, romance, and coming-of-age stories.

“This is a it’s an unprecedented partnership between a venture firm and a talent management and production company. The reason for it is the proliferation of all of these gaming IPs being adapted into other media,” said Peter Levin, managing director and cofounder of Griffin, in an interview. “You’ve got Fallout getting to Amazon. You’ve got The Last of Us. You’ve got Gangs of London. On the film side, we have Resident Evil, Minecraft, Super Mario, etc. If you look at the development slates for the studios and the streamers, by far, for third party for third-party source material, gaming dominates those lists.”

The launch comes as gaming has become a defining entertainment medium for a new
generation. More than 3.7 billion people worldwide actively play video games. There is
more content consumed monthly on the digital distribution platform for Games, Steam,
than on Netflix. And Gen Z, which accounted for nearly 40% of North American
moviegoers last year, ranks gaming as its favorite form of entertainment.

The game industry competes with movies and television, but lately it has partnered with Hollywood as game-knowledgeable talent rises through the ranks in both entertainment and game companies. Recent successful adaptations including A Minecraft Movie, Amazon’s Fallout and HBO’s The Last of Us have demonstrated the enormous potential of gaming IP across both theaters and streaming.

HITpoint will combine Griffin’s relationships with game developers and publishers with
Entertainment 360’s producing track record on IP-driven franchises including Game of
Thrones.

In addition to providing opportunities for the firm’s clients, the new venture will mine relationships across the broader creative community, pairing each property with
the filmmakers, talent, and studio partners best suited to bring it to the screen.

The company will pursue both established AAA franchises and fast-growing independent
games, drawing in part on Griffin’s recently launched indie game fund to identify breakout titles and creators early early in their development.

“For younger audiences, games aren’t a side interest. They are where many of their
favorite characters, stories, and worlds live,” said Entertainment 360, in a statement. “There has long been an infrastructure in Hollywood for discovering books and other underlying material early.”

Entertainment 360 was started in 2002 by Guymon Casady, Suzan Bymel, Eric Kranzler, Evelyn O’Neill, Daniel Rappaport and David Seltzer.

Entertainment 360 said, “HITpoint brings that same focus to gaming. Together with Griffin, we can identify compelling IP at an early stage, bring it into a development environment, and pair it with filmmakers who genuinely understand the material and what makes it special.”

“Video games represent one of the most exciting sources of stories and characters for film and television, but adapting them successfully requires a real understanding of the creativity and passion of developers bring to their work,” said Peter Levin, cofounder and managing partner of Griffin Gaming Partners, in a statement. “Griffin has spent many years building trusted relationships across the gaming community, from major publishers to the independent studios we support.”

Levin added, “We see this vehicle as a differentiating resource for our 100+ portfolio companies, our strategic partners as well as the gaming ecosystem writ large. I couldn’t be more excited to partner with the team at Entertainment 360 and give fans new ways to experience the stories they already love.”

Both Levin and Entertainment 360 have been in this sweet spot between games and other entertainment for decades. But always from different parts of entertainment. Now they’re joining together to bridge the industries. Levin said it’s important to have access to the right producers, the right writers, the right talent, and the right games.

Respect for the source material will be central to HITpoint’s approach. The company will keep game creators closely involved from initial development through production, aligning incentives while giving them direct access to leading writers, filmmakers, actors, and producing partners. Both Griffin and Entertainment 360 already have significant experience at the intersection of gaming and Hollywood.

Levin played a key role in bringing Fallout to the screen; Entertainment 360 clients are writing and starring in the upcoming The Legend of Zelda film; and 360 is producing a recently announced Atari adaptation with Universal. Together, the two companies bring relationships and experience across both industries to a dedicated platform built to develop the next generation of game adaptations.

Entertainment 360 is one of the world’s premier talent and literary management companies. It represents a select and prestige roster of actors, writers, directors, showrunners, creators, and creators. The firm manages careers as long-term enterprises, built around ownership, optionality and the businesses its clients create over time.

Entertainment 360’s in-house film and television arm originates, develops, packages and produces projects alongside its clients. Credits include Game of Thrones, Ripley and Apple TV’s Stick.

In 2025, Entertainment 360 took a strategic minority investment from Carlyle, the first outside capital in the firm’s 24-year history. This has allowed Entertainment 360 to invest in its business in an effort to be the best representative for its clients: adding new talented managers, build out new representation groups like lifestyle and culture, and launching new producing business ventures including True North and HITpoint Entertainment.
