Scopely today announced the latest crossover coming to its game Stumble Guys: The classic animated show Avatar: The Last Airbender. The new event adds several elements of the show, including characters, maps and abilities, for players to add to their already packed collection of interesting intellectual properties. Avatar: The Last Airbender joins Stumble Guys in the latest season.
As part of the crossover, Scopely is adding six characters as cosmetics: Aang, Avatar State Aang, Toph, Zuko, Sokka and Appa (Katara’s exclusion rankles a bit, not going to lie). They also get Extras in the form of elemental bending abilities to better navigate the maps — including the Avatar-themed map, which includes adorable baby Sky Bison.
Jake Bales, Stumble Guys general manager, said in a statement, “Bringing Avatar: The Last Airbender into the Stumbleverse has been an absolute blast. The epic storytelling and world-building of Avatar fit in perfectly with the wild spirit of our game, and our team at Scopely poured so much love into bringing this to life. We can’t wait for players to dive in, stumble around, and create some unforgettable moments with Aang and friends.”
The Avatar collaboration comes amidst a renaissance for the franchise. The live-action remake of the original series launched last year, with its second and third seasons currently in the works. On a related note, Nickelodeon also revealed the first details about the upcoming third animated series, Seven Havens, which follows Avatar Pavi.
