Microsoft today released a new Windows 10 preview for PCs — the third build in a row with no new features. The focus is on bug fixing ahead of the company’s upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update, which is slated for release in “early 2017” (likely to arrive next month).
Windows 10 is a service, meaning it was built in a very different way than its predecessors so it can be regularly updated with not just fixes but new features, too. While Microsoft has released many such updates, the Creators Update will be a major one and follows the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, released in August 2016. As pointed out by Thurrott, Microsoft is now promoting the Creators Update in the Settings panel.
