Halo fans just need to wait just a little longer.

Developer 343 Industries revealed today that Halo 5: Guardians has gone gold, meaning that development on the title is now finished (minus the work needed for future patches and downloadable content, like maps). This means that players shouldn’t have to worry about a last-minute delay for the anticipated Xbox One shooter, which comes out on October 27. Halo has sold more than 65 million copies to date and generated $4.6 billion in revenue.

Halo 5 is arguably the Xbox One’s biggest exclusive this holiday season, so Microsoft will use it as a major weapon to help sell consoles. Microsoft has also created several Xbox One bundles, including a Halo 5 one.

343 Industries promises to support Halo 5 with monthly content, including more than 18 free multiplayer maps.
