If you’re a parent of a small child, then you know the terrifying job we’ve volunteered for. We’re trying to make sure little clones we’ve shot out into the world don’t just survive, but grow up to be functional and not completely horrendous human beings. And I guess be somewhat educated as well. If you’re into that.

One of the veterans in tooling up parents with equipment meant to keep our kids from catching-the-dumbs, is VTech — a Hong Kong electronic-toy company. Adding to their products and services in 2015 is their new children’s gaming platform, the InnoTV, which launched today ($70).

The InnoTV is a sort of ‘my first’ designed product, meant to be a modern prepubescent human being’s first video game console experience. This runs in line with their other child assimilating tech products, such as a smart watch (KidiZoom), tablet (InnoTab), and laptop (Lil’ SmartTop).

The InnoTV comes with a wireless controller, 8 gigabytes of internal memory, a MicroSD slot that can handle up to 32 gigaabytes, and wi-fi connectivity. It will also come packed with six games: four learning titles, and two multiplayer games.

The InnoTV will also be compatible with VTech’s Learning Lodge, an online marketplace which boasts over 300 titles that cover the span of VTech’s current platforms, with about 100 of those being compatible with the InnoTV.
