Square Enix is about to fill your Western mobile devices with keyblades.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained X, known as Kingdom Hearts X (or [Chi], pronounced “key”) in Japan, was confirmed for Western release during Square Enix’s E3 2015 press conference. The smartphone port had been revealed in the middle of last month, but no release specifics were addressed at the time. Unchained X will be released on Android and iOS devices sometime later this year.

The mobile spin-off is free-to-play with microtransaction support, and tells a connective story throughout the existing threads of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, leading up to Kingdom Hearts 3.

Square Enix has a mobile hit already this year with Final Fantasy: Record Keeper, which quickly reached 1 million downloads in the West.
