Beyond the end of the year Black Friday weekend, this mid-year sales is actually one of the best time to buy computer hardware.

At HP, you’ll find their popular Envy 17 and 15 lineup refreshed with brand new specs: the latest 4th gen Intel processors and Nvidia GeForce GTX 800 series graphics cards. For the world’s #1 PC maker, Lenovo has new lows on their new Y40 series 14-inch gaming laptops (introduced earlier this year), now as low as $799, while their older model 15.6-inch Y510p with dual GT 750M graphics at only $869. Another notable laptop deal for the weekend is at the Microsoft Store, where a rare discount on the 2014 released Asus Republic of Gamer G750 + GTX 870M drops the price from $1,900 to a more manageable $1,650.

If you’re looking for something less mobile, there are also good offers found on desktops. Chief among the discounts is a monster $850 discount on a top-of-the-line Alienware Aurora with the new GeForce GTX Titan Z GPU. Even after the discount, the machine sells for a whopping $4,000.
