3 classic Star Trek games appear on GOG in their digital premieres

Digital. The final frontier for retro games.

Three classic Star Trek games just became available on GOG, a site that specializes in selling digital versions of older PC games. They include Star Trek: 25th Anniversary and Star Trek: Judgement Rites, both point-and-click adventure games. You can also buy Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, a space sim with live-action video and appearances from William Shatner and George Takei. All three games are $6 each and are free from digital rights management (DRM). These are also the digital premieres for all three games.

This is the first time that Star Trek games have appeared on GOG. Maybe we’ll eventually see some other classics hit the store, like the shooter Elite Force or the strategy-based Starfleet Command series. It’s probably more likely than us getting a new, good Star Trek game.
