Social gaming developer and publisher Zynga announced today the worldwide launch of CastleVille Legends, a new free-to-play game in which players build their own fantasy kingdom. The title is currently available on all iOS devices (iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad). Zynga stated that releases for Google Play and the Amazon Appstore are coming soon.
“CastleVille Legends is Zynga’s newest invest and express game and is an example of a continued focus on delivering the most social and most accessible high-quality games in categories that players want,” Zynga stated in a press release sent to GamesBeat.
Legends is a sequel to the original CastleVille, a 2011 Facebook game and one of many titles with the Villie branding that the company released following the success of its famously popular FarmVille in 2009. Since those glory days, Zynga has recently faced difficulties as its revenues drop and its stock price falls.
