An Xbox Live moderator recently banned user iTzLuPo v2 (a.k.a. Lupo) from the online service after a confrontational run-in. The Microsoft employee, nicknamed "The Pro," erupted in a tirade during a Modern Warfare 2 game and began muting, suspending, and banning players left and right. What caused this outbreak? After seeing the laboriously edited and cut video, Stephen Toulouse, Director of Policy and Enforcement for XBL, commented via Twitter:
Yes, I've seen the heavily edited video of The Pro. He was policing 10th Prestige MW2 modding, which results in gold account and console bans.
Luckily for Toulouse, an unedited video recording of that same game session turned up and supported his dispassionate words. While The Pro lacked the subtlety and professionalism you would expect from an online moderator, the unedited video proved that his bannings weren't altogether baseless.
But, as this episode of XBL drama winds down, let us never forget Lupo's pensive, deep words: "I fucked your grandma so hard, that she went fucking flying out the window." Priceless [via GameRanx].
