Walkabout Mini Golf is unveiling its latest expansion, or downloadable content (DLC): The Homestar Runner Distraction Pack.
It’s a tie-in with the infamous web series Homestar Runner, which, if you’re not familiar with it, has some memorable videos here. See the video of the DLC here.
This DLC release will be unlike anything the golf game has ever done. It is not a course; it’s a takeover of Walkabout by Strong Bad and friends featuring designs, in-game character appearances, voice-acting and much more directly from The Brothers Chaps.
Think of it as a turducken of unique cosmetics, never before seen mini-games, and locations/nods to the most iconic Homestar Runner bits of all time.
The Homestar Runner Distraction Pack includes:
- 6 Activities to play through and conquer!
- The ultimate hang out spot: Strong Bad’s basement
- 18 collectable Lost Balls
- Custom putters to earn
- Unique avatars and a custom ball trail to channel your favorite characters
- Unlockable hole celebrations
- Much more!
This is something the Walkabout team has been working on for nearly a year, and they’re considering it a “bonus” release. The team will still have three more courses this year, so expect the next course to drop in August.
