Voya Games, a Web3 game studio focused on player-owned economies, unveiled Craft World, a humorous dinosaur apocalypse resource game.

In exclusive news for GamesBeat, Voya Games said the game will officially release on the Ronin blockchain network on July 29.

The humorous trailer gives a closer look at the title’s universe, tone, and mission. In Craft World, players will build a rocket to help dinosaurs escape an apocalyptic earth. In the trailer, the dynos attempt to launch a rocket, but it swiftly crashes back down to earth, showcasing their need for players to step in and lend a hand.

“The trailer captures part of what has made Craft World such a success even before launch… big personality, humor, and an IP people want to spend with. The trailer captures part of what has made Craft World such a success even before launch… big personality, humor, and an IP people want to spend with,” said Oliver Löffler, CEO and founder of Voya Games, in a statement.

Löffler added, “Craft World is fun, approachable, and easy to fit into your life with micro-play sessions. Over time, it delivers an increasingly rich experience and economy that belongs to the players, with crafting materials as on-chain resources for trading and selling between players.”

He added, “Making a hit Web3 game is easier said than done, but our momentum shows we’re onto something with 800,000 players before launch and the glowing feedback to our metagame, Project Voyager. This is just the beginning for Craft World, Voya Games, and the next chapter of fun, player-owned gaming experiences. We hope everyone enjoys the trailer and joins us for launch on Ronin July 29th.”

Momentum has built further from Project Voyager, the airdrop meta-game on top of Craft World, which launched June 11 and concluded last week. The meta-game was designed to reward the most loyal, engaged players with progression, upgrades, and mainnet Dyno Coin. More Project Voyager information is available in Ronin’s case study here.
