Do you remember that video we posted last week? The one which tried to explain how video games are evil? Yah, the short film upset a lot of you. Well, in an attempt to strike a balance, I'd like you to digest the uplifting tale of "Kreyg," the founder of Hot Blooded Gamer. Last week, he published his magnum opus — a deeply introspective article detailing the role video games have assumed in his life. As he puts it, video games were his "guardian angel."
Kreyg didn't live an easy life. He was "that fat kid with no friends" and "the 'homeless' guy living in the back room of a video game store." He rarely caught a break, but whether he had a good day or a bad one, Kreyg came home to the comforting embrace of his video games. While his trials in life were nothing like mine, I appreciate the somber, depressing tone which his story takes. Regardless, Kreyg's tale has a silver lining:
Video games made the bad times good, and the good times even better. Without video games, I feel many parts of my life, especially my childhood would have been a lot harder for me to get through.
You may not be able to relate, but one thing is for sure: Whether they're simple distractions or powerfully therapeutic tools, we all love video games. You can find the article here [Hot Blooded Gamer via GamePolitics].
