I'm binging on Saints Row 2 in giddy anticipation for Saints Row: The Third's November 15 release. Time to snatch up some more hos!
Video Blips:
• Not even a leisurely jet plane ride rife with trigger-happy gangsters escapes chaos in Saints Row: The Third. Next time, I'm booking myself into the "non-insane" section.

Continue after the break for the soundscapes and art styles of Rage, the euphoria of the perfect shot in Sniper Elite V2, and a rail-bound shootout in Metro: Last Light.
• Rage satisfies the unspoken rule of pairing celebrity talent with gorgeous post-apocalyptic visuals in John Goodman's role as the gruff Dan Hagar. Goodman's usually not one for video game voice work. It's as if he's — dare I say it — out of his element.

• The exquisitely aligned bullet cracks through the Panzer commander's neck before he even yells out "schiesse!" in Sniper Elite V2. Killcams are de rigueur for shooters nowadays, but that doesn't stop me from cackling in glee every time I see some hot sniping action.

• Metro: Last Light protagonist Artyom's surprisingly limber reflexes come in handy while clearing out rickety trains in Moscow's dank tunnels. I guess killing everyone onboard is one way to stop a train without a pull-cord.
