Video Blips: Deus Ex, Gears of War 3, Red Orchestra 2, and more

I startled my roommates this morning by announcing Deus Ex: Human Revolution's release with a carefully positioned turret hack and a simultaneous cloaked arm-blade kill. At least, that's what I think happened. I learned later on that I sort of stumbled into the living room yelling "JENSEN!" while flailing my arms aimlessly.

Video Blips:

• Test the limits of Adam Jensen's humanity with today's release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. As a devoted cyberpunk fanatic, I'm equating this event to receiving a pay raise, pulling off a perfect parallel park, and high-fiving Ridley Scott. All at the same time.

Continue after the break for the last push for survival in Gears of War 3, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad's fundamental PC shooter combat, and some glowing testimony on the benefits of enlisting in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

• This intro cinematic for Gears of War 3 ushers in the final struggle against the swarming LambentFun fact: Weapon decals don't really make the bullets come out faster.

• Just when World War 2 couldn't get any more cliché, Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad throws us back to the front line with solid multiplayer gameplay. Only those crafty Russians have the guts — or enough vodka — to field a gun with both an iron sight and a scope slapped on top of it.

• Chain swords, skin secretions, and battle trances round out the ultimate warrior in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. I was sold when Lance Henriksen showed up — any endorsement from Mass Effect's Admiral Hackett turns me into a slavering consumer whore.
