Creating a cleanly designed interface system is one of the most important aspects of a successful shooter. Also, it needs copious amounts of bloom effects.

• The multitalented Geralt of Rivia dispatches enemies with steel, spells, and bombs in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Looks like someone's taken out a lifelong subscription of Man's Life Magazine.
• The sounds of South Central's "Demons" are reminiscent of a revving car engine in this Dirt 3 trailer. It's also reminiscent of eardrums melting in agony, because that's what mine actually did.
• After breaking YouTube sensation Freddie Wong's heart, the cuddly Mr. Toots heads to Mars to help out the colonists in Red Faction: Armageddon. If I wasn't completely desensitized by the Internet, I'd probably consider the notion of a rainbow-farting miniature unicorn with a mixture of horror and panic.
