Ubisoft won’t release the next Assassin’s Creed during its fiscal 2017, but it does promise something new.
The French publisher revealed today that it has five big-budget blockbuster games planned for the 12-month period ending March 2017. One of those is a new property, according to the company’s latest financial report. The company says that it expects this to grow its revenues as it only released four blockbusters during its fiscal 2017. In a market worth $99.6 billion, the most lucrative games are often still those marquee $60 releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. And Ubisoft is still one of the best companies in the world at capitalizing on that market.
