Ubisoft is tying the future of Assassin’s Creed to its development studio in Quebec, and it is spending the money to beef up its operations there.
The French publisher announced today that it will spend $4 million to provide new tech and equipment for its Quebec-based developer. The developer is moving into a new building in the St-Roch neighborhood. Ubisoft Quebec will also act as lead developer on a future Assassin’s Creed game. This expansion will also come with government support. Quebec will spend $500,000 to help update Ubisoft’s new facilities.
