Twitter reacts to E3: Gamers favor Sony over Microsoft

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) doesn’t officially start until tomorrow, but a day of press conferences from gaming giants Microsoft, Sony, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft sent shock waves throughout the industry. You can catch up on our massive E3 coverage here, but we were wondering what our community thought about today’s unveiling of hardware and games.

It seems a large portion of GamesBeat’s Twitter followers thought that Sony had the best day thanks to a strong debut of the PlayStation 4 — with an impressive software lineup, lack of game-sharing restrictions, and a price $100 cheaper than Microsoft’s $499 Xbox One. Still, some people preferred Xbox’s exclusives, including Titanfall, the new shooter from Respawn, a studio made up of ex-Infinity Ward members.

We also had a couple of people tell us at that SNK won. We think they were being facetious.
