The Xbox One is posed to have a strong holiday because the base model is selling for an all-time low of $180 and the Xbox One X is actually the most powerful console ever. I’ve reached a point where if I’m going to play a game on a console, I want to do it on the Xbox One X, and I think everyone who gets one during these holidays will probably feel the same way.

This is still the best controller I’ve ever used, and I think it’s the best gift you give to anyone who plays a lot of Xbox One (or PC) games. The Elite gamepad is such a huge quality leap over everything else for every other system that I still get a little giddy every time I pick mine up.
Astro A50 Wireless Headset + Base Station

The Astro A50 Wireless Headset is a little bit of overkill at this point. You no longer need a base station to connect wirelessly to an Xbox One with a headset, and yet I still really like it. For one, the A50s sound amazing, and I also love having a dedicated place to set my headset down that will also charge them back up for my next session.

If you don’t want to spend $300 or need a base station, go with the Turtle Beach Stealth 600. It is wireless and doesn’t use a dongle, and it still sounds great.
Dolby Access

If you get one of the headphones above, you should also get out your credit card and spend $15 to unlock Dolby Atmos. The Dolby Access app is available on Windows and Xbox One, and it can bring amazing 3D sound to your games and movies. It’s a big improvement and worth the money.
