Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is a Kickstarter stretch goal for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Maybe you’d think you shouldn’t expect much from it, but it’s one of the best retro games ever made.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night feels like it’s been in development forever (its Kickstarter launched in 2015), but that’s what happens with these Kickstarter games. We know about them before development even really begins, so it’s a long wait. I’m still looking forward to Ritual of the Night, which will bring back the Castlevania style of nonlinear 2D side-scrollers, like Symphony of the Night.
