Meta today revealed its latest mixed-and-virtual reality headset, the Meta Quest 3S, at today’s Connect event. The new device is a more-affordable version of the Quest 3, with a starting price of $299 for the 128 GB model. According to Meta, the Quest 3S is intended to be a point of access for users who aren’t familiar with mixed reality as well as those seeking a cheaper Quest 3 option. The Quest 3S launches on October 15, with pre-orders now open.
In a nod to VR gamers, Meta announced that the Quest 3S would be compatible with the full Quest library of games and apps. During the event, Meta revealed details about several VR games that are coming to Quest, including the 3S headset.
