The Legend of Zelda is about to add a new chapter.
Nintendo announced that Tri Force Heroes will come out for the 3DS on October 23. While most games in the Zelda series are single-player adventures, Tri Force Heroes features three-player cooperative play. We enjoyed it when we tried it at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Nintendo notes that three 3DS owners can enjoy the co-op mode with one game cart, making it a lot easier (and cheaper) for friends to play with each other. You can still play the game solo, which turns the other two Links into A.I. controller paper dolls.
Tri Force Heroes is one of Nintendo’s biggest 3DS releases for the rest year, along with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, which comes out on September 25.
