After a decade, Team Ico’s third game finally has a release date.
The Last Guardian will hit PlayStation 4 on October 25. After producing Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for the PlayStation 2 more than 10 years ago, the studio responsible is finally preparing to release its followup. The Last Guardian follows the adventures of a boy who must work with a giant bird-dog-cat-like creature to fend off attackers and solve puzzles.
Team Ico’s game had gone missing for years, but at E3 2015, it appeared again on Sony’s stage. But fans kept hope up because Ico and Shadow of the Colossus are such moving games, each with a unique appeal that grabbed hold of hundreds of thousands of gamers.
