Nexon and Neople celebrated the first anniversary of The First Berserker: Khazan, the hardcore action RPG set in the Dungeon & Fighter universe.
It’s been a year since players first embarked on Khazan’s relentless quest for vengeance. Since its launch in March 2025, the game has brought players into a brutal and immersive world defined by fast-paced combat, formidable bosses, and a deeply personal story of betrayal and retribution, Nexon said.
The team is proud to share some of the critical recognition that The First Berserker: Khazan has received, with the game securing three honors at the 2025 Korea Game Awards: the Top Excellence Award, Technical Creativity (Graphics), and Popular Voice Actor (Lee Hyun). Praised for its fluid combat, Khazan also made a significant impact on global platforms, earning recognition at the 2025 Xbox Excellence Awards for both Store Rating and Player Engagement.
While the team is grateful for the awards, they’re even more humbled by the community response to the game. In a message to the community, creative director Junho Lee reflected on the past year and the impact of player support. In a statement, Lee said, “I poured my heart into making Khazan, telling myself that this would be the game I stake my entire career on… But then, so many of you showed up. You played the game, shared your honest thoughts, and cheered us on.”
Over the past year, The First Berserker: Khazan has continued to evolve with new content and challenges, including post-launch updates that introduced high-intensity modes such as the Ultimate Challenge, pushing players to test their skills against the game’s toughest encounters. To further enhance the experience, we also released a series of free cosmetic DLCs, allowing players to customize their journey through Khazan with unique aesthetics.
