LAS VEGAS — Jessica Chobot has made her name as an on-camera host of shows for nerds and gamers. She’s currently the main host of Nerdist News, a news show focused on nerd pop culture on Nerdist.com. She’s a pretty big celebrity in gaming circles.

She may not be your typical nerd, but she showed up like the rest of us to scour the 2015 International CES, the big tech trade show in Las Vegas this week. She rattled off her favorites in gaming, such as the Open Source Virtual Reality platform at Razer’s booth and the Magic Mirror at the Panasonic booth, where you can view recommendations for makeovers in a mirror display.

She’s got a couple of zingers for the gadgets she didn’t like as well. Warning: Don’t pitch her on products related to the Internet of Everything. Check out our interview below with Chobot about her favorite tech and gamer gear at CES:
