Telltale is making a Borderlands adventure game in partnership with Gearbox Software.
During Spike’s VGX show, the two developers debuted Tales from the Borderlands, which will expand on the universe first established by Gearbox’s popular shooters.
“We wanted to give Telltale the keys to the kingdom,” Gearbox president Randy Pitchford said.
The idea is for Telltale Games, which is best known for its award-winning games based on The Walking Dead comics, to develop its own narratives based on the characters and settings of Borderlands.
