Talking Tom Cat, the app from Outfit7 Limited that created a viral talk-back sensation in 2010, is back with fresh upgrades and a modern look today.

Talking Tom Cat’s contemporary 3D look represents a reboot for the character, and it comes with more than a dozen new animations. Those include kooky reactions to eating new food such as fiery chili, ice cream, and more. And he still has his ability to repeat what you say in a funny voice and make gross bodily noises. Those kinds of features have generated 3.6 billion downloads and over 250 million monthly active users for The Talking Tom and Friends apps over time. The franchise has amassed over 4.3 billion views on YouTube.

The company has created additional safety elements to the upgraded app, including the removal of all banners and interstitial ads. The app has lock ability which means young ones cannot leave the app through advertisements and are not exposed to paywalls when Child Mode option is chosen.

Talking Tom Cat is now available to download free on iOS, Android, Windows, and Amazon devices.

“Talking Tom Cat put Outfit7 on the map, making us who we are today,” said Samo Login, founder and chief executive of Outfit7 Limited, in a statement. “The app has, and continues to embody our company’s youthful enthusiasm. We are confident that long-time fans and new players alike will delight in Tom’s latest features while continuing to savor the pure, instant fun from Talking Tom Cat.”

The app is certified by Privo, a safe harbor program approved by the Federal Trade Commission. Over the last six years, players have spent 945,000 years playing with Talking Tom apps, knocking him down over 191 billion times.
