Take-Two Interactive reported strong results that beat expectations today for the December quarter. And Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, told us in an interview that much of the performance increase was due to a 19% lift in mobile game bookings.

Zelnick said that direct-to-consumer results (enabled by Epic Games’ antitrust gains in its lawsuits with Apple and Google) helped with the overall mobile game performance, but he also said his company has done well with its hit mobile games like Toon Blast, which was up 43%.
