Super Mario Odyssey hits Nintendo Switch next week, but we’re already learning about one of the many outfits the game’s Italian hero will get to wear. The box art for the Wedding Peach interactive Amiibo toy, which features the Mushroom Kingdom princess in a white dress for her special day, reveals that Mario can also wear … (and this is a spoiler) the same dress himself.

Images for the art appeared online thanks to YouTube channel Family Gamer TV. During an unboxing, Family Gamer turns the box for Wedding Peach, and you can clearly see Mario looking fierce and needing something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.

Oh, “I do!”

This is the latest Odyssey outfit we’ve seen for Mario. Nintendo has already shown off a number of getups for the plumber, and many of those are references to older — and sometimes obscure — Nintendo games from the past.

You can see in the image below that Mario dons safari gear, a sombrero/poncho, U.S. flag attire, and a chef’s uniform, but you can also see that he’s worn all of those before. And those costumes come from Mario Picross 2, Mario x Wix, NES Open Tournament Golf, and Yoshi’s Cookie, which aren’t exactly the biggest hits of all time.

The wedding dress, however … I don’t think Mario has ever worn that before. This is likely just a reference to the core story of Super Mario Odyssey, which has Bowser attempting to marry Peach. But who knows, maybe one of the ways you can stop that is by putting on the dress as Mario and marrying Bowser yourself. Or at least, one can dream.
