Capcom has some good … and bad news for Street Fighter fans.

You want the good news first? Capcom is opening up the Street Fighter V beta today, according to a blog post from the publisher. So what’s the bad news? It’s only for 24 hours. Oh, and it’s for Europe only.

After the unexpected implosion of the first Street Fighter V public beta, Capcom is going to run a couple of quick regional stress tests before attempting another full-blown, weeklong session. North American and Asian fans that feel slighted should check their first-world indignation, because we’re going to get our own 24 hour stress tests as well.

Europeans may jump into the Street Fighter V beta today (August 20) starting at 16:00 BST (British Summer Time). Expect it to end around 16:00 BST tomorrow (August 21).

Unfortunately, Capcom hasn’t released any times or dates for those stress tests. It also hasn’t said when the next global five-day beta session is going to take place. I am crossing my fingers that, after running the servers through these stress tests, that the global beta will actually last the entire five days this time.
