Electronic Arts gave new details about Star Wars: Battlefront 2 during its event ahead of the massive Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show today, broadcasting simultaneously from Los Angeles and London. E3 is the largest game event of the year, and it usually brings plenty of new game announcements.

EA revived the Battlefront series last year, and the online first-person shooter shipped over 14 million copies. The sequel will include content from the new films. The last Battlefront focused on the era from the original films. Battlefront 2 will come out next year.

However, EA didn’t show much of the new game. We didn’t get a trailer or gameplay footage. Instead, EA had a montage that showed behind-the-scenes footage of its multiple Star Wars projects.

Developer Dice is also working on Battlefield 1, another multiplayer shooter.
