Star Wars: Battle Pod arcade game drops players in front of a dome for full immersion

The newest Star Wars arcade title literally puts the player inside the game.

Bandai Namco Amusement America calls its latest release, Star Wars: Battle Pod, the most cinematic arcade gaming experience possible. Its cabinet features a large dome-shaped screen that surrounds the player for full immersion. Synchronized seat vibrations, air blasters, and 5.1 surround sound are included to simulate flight, fitting with the game’s vehicle-based adventuring theme.
