Square Enix has revealed it will be opening two officially licensed cafes and shops, one in Los Angeles and another in Shinjuko, Tokyo. Each venue is set to open its doors to the public sometime in Spring 2026, with exact dates unconfirmed at this time.
The cafe spaces will offer menu items inspired by multiple Square Enix IPs, while the adjoining shop spaces will carry a wide selection of official merchandise. This marks the first time an official Square Enix cafe offering a full, authentic menu will open in the U.S. Both Cafe & Shop locations will be must‑visit destinations for all Square Enix fans.

While further details, including opening dates, menu options, and more, will be announced at a later date, we do know where each venue will be located within each city:

Square Enix is best known for its Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Kingdom Hearts franchises, so visitors to the cafe can expect to see food and signature recipes from these games, with Cid’s Spicy Chilli and Bar Del Sol Tropical Cocktail being possible menu items.
The company also recently announced that its long-running MMO, Final Fantasy XIV, would be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 in August 2026 and that a new expansion, Evercold, will be released in January 2027.
