Sony Interactive Entertainment head Andrew House confirmed the existence of the rumored Neo machine, a new version of the PlayStation 4 that will be able to handle 4K TV resolutions.
But he said in an interview with the Financial Times (subscription required) that Sony will not reveal the Neo at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the big game trade show that starts with briefings that begin Sunday and runs through Thursday.

House is the president and global chief executive of Sony’s game business. He said the new system will be sold alongside the existing PS4 during the current generation of machines.
“It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4,” he said. “We will be selling both through the life cycle.”
House confirmed that all games released on the PS4 will run on both the older model and the new one.
He didn’t offer a price or announcement or release date. Microsoft is rumored to be showing off its own new hardware at its Monday press briefing.
