PSVR launches with 50 games on October 13 — and Final Fantasy XV is getting a VR experience

Sony plans to launch the PlayStation VR virtual reality headset for $399 on October 13. By that time, it will launch with more than 50 games, said Sony games chief Shawn Layden.

He made the announcement today at the company’s press event at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the big game trade show in Los Angeles this week.

A number of games, including a new Resident Evil VII demo and a Star Wars game, will run in VR on the PlayStation 4.
