Sony today held its State of Play event, where it announced new updates on several of its games currently in development, both from first-party developers and third-party partners. The two major games that bookended the event were Housemarque’s Saros and Insomniac’s Wolverine, both highly anticipated titles from acclaimed developers. Both are confirmed for release in 2026, alongside several other games in the showcase.

One of the most surprising reveals from the event was Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which joins fellow Microsoft flagship titles Gears of War and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PlayStation on December 8. The footage shows several of the game’s aircraft, including helicopters, VTOLs and hot air balloons. The game has been augmented for PS5, with adaptive triggers and customizable touchpad controls.

Other 2025 releases include a trailer for the Battlefield 6 single-player campaign, which launches on October 6. Let It Die: Inferno, a roguelite survival sim in the Let it Die series, launches on PS5 on December 3. Other featured additions include a Kratos-branded DualSense controller, which launches on October 23; and the addition of The Last of Us Part II Remastered to the PlayStation Plus catalog to celebrate The Last of Us Day on September 26

PlayStation’s 2026 release slate

Other than the aforementioned titles, all of the other games in the reveal are scheduled for 2026 release dates or uncertain future release dates. The most prominent of the latter is the Mega Man DLC for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, which includes Mega Man himself, Proto Man, and a stage based on Dr. Wiley’s castle. Eleventh Hour also confirmed its game Last Epoch is in development for PlayStation 5, and its expansion pack Orobyss will launch at the same time as the PS5 port.

Saros, Housemarque’s follow-up to its hit title Returnal, got a confirmed release date alongside the gameplay trailer of March 20, 2026. The studio also revealed gameplay, including the unique ability to absorb and redirect projectiles. Given that Saros was the opening salvo of the event, it’s perhaps no surprise that the final “one more thing” closing out the show was the other anticipated first-party title, Marvel’s Wolverine, which is set for a 2026 launch.

The other big reveal of the event was the Pulse Elevate, Sony’s first desktop wireless speakers. They’re designed to work with PlayStation 5 setups as well as PC and Mac desktop setups. They come with built-in mics and charging docks, and launch sometime in 2026.

Two new games revealed in the Direct were Zero Parades — For Dead Spies by Disco Elysium studio Za/Um, which launches sometime in 2026. The other game is from Shueisha Games and Deskworks, a 2D action-adventure game about an editor trapped in an unfinished manuscript called Chronoscript: The Endless End, which also launches in 2026.

Other games revealed at the SoP for 2026 include the asymmetrical horror game Halloween: The Game, where players are either survivors or Michael Myers himself (September 6); Aspyr’s Deus Ex Remastered (February 5); Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered (March 19); Nioh 3, which got a cinematic trailer (February 6) and Crimson Desert (March 19).
