Samsung has begun rolling out a major update to its Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub, reshaping the service around personalization, discovery, and frictionless access to games on Galaxy devices.

The update, now live on Galaxy smartphones and tablets, brings all Galaxy Store games into a single hub while laying the groundwork for a broader mobile gaming ecosystem Samsung plans to expand throughout 2026. On the surface, it sounds very similar to Apple’s debut of its Apple Games app for iOS.

At the center of the update is consolidation. Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub now aggregates the full Galaxy Store game catalog in one place, allowing players to browse, launch, and rediscover their libraries without jumping between apps. Samsung says the goal is to reduce friction in how players find and engage with games, particularly as mobile catalogs continue to grow and become harder to navigate.

The redesigned interface also introduces personalized recommendations based on a player’s activity and most-played titles. Rather than pushing broadly promoted games, Samsung is leaning on behavioral signals to surface content it believes better matches individual tastes.

That personalization extends beyond games themselves, with gameplay clips, guides, and creator videos from YouTube now integrated directly into the hub. Samsung says its merit-based algorithm surfaces video content inspired by player behavior, aiming to blend discovery, learning, and entertainment in a single destination.

Samsung frames the update as a response to long-standing discovery challenges in mobile gaming.

“Mobile game discovery is broken. Convoluted interfaces and overly promotional content make it harder for players to find the games that match their interests,” said Jong Woo, vice president of game services at Samsung, in a prepared statement. “With this update to the Samsung Mobile Gaming Hub, we’re addressing these pain points and offering a frictionless, organic, and personalized discovery experience. By surfacing content based on genuine preferences, we’re creating a more intuitive and engaging way for players to explore, watch, and enjoy their favorite games from one entry point.”

The update highlights Samsung’s continued push to position Mobile Gaming Hub as more than a launcher. The platform already reaches around 160 million monthly active users, giving Samsung meaningful leverage as it courts publishers and developers. That strategy is reinforced by the company’s 80/20 revenue-share model for Galaxy Store games, introduced last year, which is more favorable to developers than the traditional 70/30 split.

Looking ahead, Samsung says this is only the first phase of its longer-term vision. Planned 2026 updates include community-driven features, enhanced in-app web shop functionality, and integrated AI tools designed to support smarter discovery.
