Saints Row IV – the game Australia banned (then un-banned and censored) – released on Tuesday this week at $59.99 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 or $49.99 on PC. Don’t be a pushover and buy at full price though. Two excellent deals have emerged for Saints Row IV. The Steam-activated PC download version starts out at $49.99, but GMG’s 20% off coupon code drops the price to $40. For Xbox 360 and PS3 console gamers, GameStop has two coupons that drop the price from $59.99 to $44.99 – a full $15 savings plus free shipping!
There’s a similar story for Splinter Cell: Blacklist and The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Both games were released this week, and both of the console versions can take advantage of the dual coupon savings GameStop offers, dropping from $59.99 to $44.99. However, the PC versions get a little more complicated. Blacklist qualifies for a 20% coupon savings at GameFly, but since the PC version is sold at $59.99 (vs. most PC digital games these days at $49.99), the coupon only marks it down to $47.99. While this is a scant $3 more than the console versions, it’s rare for the PC version to be a higher price. Unfortunately, there’s no straight up discount on the PC version of The Bureau, but you can still grab a $12 credit or $8 cash back bonus at GMG. The cash back option will refund your money in 2-3 days and would effectively make the game a 14% discount at $43.
On Sunday this week, Disney jumped into the figurine-meets-video-game market with its release of Disney Infinity on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. The Starter Pack includes the base game and 3 physical figurines, upping the price to a hefty $74.99. However, you won’t have to pay that much thanks to the big coupon combo mentioned above, which lowers the price to $59.99, free shipping – more in line with what you’d expect to pay for a popular console game during its release week.
