Roblox announced recently that it will soon offer a new path for creators looking to make money from their content. Specifically, the company plans to offer an option for creators to sell avatar bundles — meaning, collections of different items — both on the Marketplace and within experiences. The company plans to offer this new option “in the coming months.”

Enrico D’Angelo, Roblox’s VP of economy, said in a blog post, “Selling avatars and items as a bundle is much more convenient for people, as they’ll be able to shop for full looks all at once rather than piecemeal. We recently launched a new way to search for avatar bundles and have already seen a positive uptick in people shopping for full looks, rather than individual accessories.”

At the same time Roblox announced this new innovation, it also released more information about creators on the Marketplace. According to the company’s findings, creators who make 50,000 Robux per month increased by 85% year-over-year (as of June) and total monthly creator earnings have increased 61% YoY. Roblox also notes it opened the Marketplace to more creators in April, and creator accounts the predate this move have had their total earnings growth rise from 30% YoY in March to 50% YoY in June.

D’Angelo added, “For creators and brands alike, that means new ways to showcase their full creative vision, build connections with their audience, and grow their earnings. We know that the Roblox ecosystem is stronger when our community has more avenues and incentives to make and sell their creations.”
