Netmarble has released a major update for its sci-fi MMORPG RF Online Next that introduces the substantial Albern Warzone, the new Core Link progression system and additional Guild content.

Albern Warzone is a new large-scale PvP experience that matches three servers within the same World Group in a battle for territorial control. Up to 300 players from each server can enter, bringing as many as 900 players together on a single battlefield. Available to players at Level 68 and above, Albern Warzone takes place every Wednesday at 7:20 P.M. EST.

Each Albern Warzone begins with a 15-minute Occupation Battle, where players compete to capture as many Occupation Sites as possible and earn points for their server. An Occupation Site is claimed by destroying its Nether Occupation Beacon where the server that lands the final hit takes control of the area. With victory determined by the total points earned from occupied territories, coordination among players from the same server is essential.

Following the Occupation Battle, the battlefield transitions into the Monster Hunting Stage that turns captured territories into PvE hunting grounds for approximately two hours and 15 minutes. Players gain additional benefits when hunting in territories controlled by their server, including increased EXP and Credit acquisition, while occupation also affects Hypergravity Resistance. Players can encounter monsters ranging from Level 70 to 94 and bosses up to Level 97. By hunting in higher-level areas, players can obtain valuable rewards including an Odin MAU Blueprint Fragment and a new Epic Active Skill. Bosses can also drop Tier 6-7 Rare equipment, Tier 2-4 Epic equipment and materials, and Tier 4 Epic exclusive equipment.

The addition of Core Link is a new progression system available from Level 55. Four Core Link categories have been added: Fusion Reactor, Predictive Computing Module, Boost Controller and Armor Expansion Panel. Each can be enhanced using dedicated materials, with successful enhancements increasing its Core Link level and granting one random stat, such as Accuracy, Attack, Fixed Damage or Defense. Reaching designated Core Link levels also unlocks additional options, while players can reset Core Link progression and try again if they are unsatisfied with their enhancement results.

The update also introduces Guild Expedition Season 3 that features the Sealed-off Experimentation Zone. Guild members must split between two separate routes based on their attack types, with Physical-type Biosuits taking on one side and Force-type Biosuits the other. As the two routes are not directly connected, coordinating each group’s progress will be key to completing the expedition.

A new Guild Training Ground also gives Guild members a dedicated space to freely practice PvP against one another. Defeat carries no additional cost or penalty, and PK activity in the training area is not recorded in PVP History. Cooldowns and Holy Gas consumption for Sacred Weapons, including MAU and Launcher, are also adjusted within the training area providing players greater freedom to test different combat strategies.

Several limited-time events will accompany the update as well, including [100 Days Eve] Arcane’s Legacy, [100 Days Eve] Rally! Guild Growth and Challenge! Core Link Enhancement, offering additional opportunities for players to earn progression rewards ahead of the game’s upcoming 100-day celebration.

Beginning September 23, a 14-day Special Check-In event will offer five types of Ctrl+Z Coupons for restoring eligible Weapon, Armor, Accessory, Expansion and Artifact items. Players can also obtain the 100-day anniversary Rover appearance, Singara, by completing missions to earn Singara Part Boxes.
