Rebellion, one of the UK’s largest multimedia studios, has signed agreements with more than 10 licensing partners in what it calls a “groundbreaking product expansion,” in a prepared statement, for its IP.

Rebellion has long been recognized for its diverse portfolio, spanning video games, comics, books, board games, film, and TV. Now the studio is pushing deeper into consumer products with collaborations that will let fans celebrate franchises such as 2000 AD, Sniper Elite, Zombie Army, and Atomfall outside of their core media formats.

Newly signed partners include Rubber Road, Sneak Energy, Artlume, 101 Collectibles, and Thorpy FX. Additional collaborations will bring product lines through retailers such as Forbidden Planet, IGN Store, Fanattik, Geeky Jerseys, Hiya Toys, Pogo Group, and Spacelab9.

Some items are already on the way and available for pre-orders: Fanattik has unveiled 2000 AD collectibles, while SPACELAB9 is releasing a limited edition Atomfall vinyl.

“Rebellion is putting what fans want at the heart of product strategy,” director of consumer products and ecommerce at Rebellion, Victoria Justice said in a prepared statement. “Recent highlights include a collaboration with IGN to launch exclusive Atomfall merchandise and ongoing 2000 AD distribution through genre specialist Forbidden Planet. We will continue to extend our reach through strategic partnerships, bringing our projects beyond the screen to engage fans in new and exciting ways.”

The company’s consumer products division is leading the charge, identifying merchandising and licensing opportunities to grow Rebellion’s reach. Fans can already browse exclusive items via the official Rebellion Shop, with more launches planned throughout the year.

The expansion underlines Rebellion’s evolution from a successful game developer into a hopeful, wide-ranging multimedia powerhouse. Founded in 1992, the studio is arguably best known for the Sniper Elite franchise, which has drawn more than 50 million players worldwide. This year alone, Rebellion launched Sniper Elite: Resistance and the critically acclaimed new IP Atomfall.

Alongside its game business, the company owns 2000 AD, one of the most celebrated brands in British comics,

By extending its IP into merchandise and collectibles, Rebellion is following a model increasingly common across the games industry of transforming core franchises into lifestyle brands. As fan engagement becomes as much about what players wear, display, and collect as what they play, Rebellion’s move could position its properties to reach wider audiences and build long-term cultural presence.
