Nintendo wins patent troll’s appeal and can keep selling the Wii U

An attraction company has lost its appeal to block the importation of Nintendo’s Wii U. Creative Kingdoms, the company that owns the MagiQuest live-action role-playing theme park-like locations, filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission asking it to prevent Nintendo from bringing the Wii U to the U.S.

One of Facebook’s few successful hardcore games hits iPad

The game is KingsRoad, a free-to-play action role-playing game made by veterans from companies like Blizzard and BioWare who now work at developer Rumble Entertainment. Moving to the mobile market will help the company take part in an industry that could be worth $25 billion in worldwide revenues by the end 2014, according to market researcher Newzoo.
