Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 coming for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam in September

Everyone’s favorite yellow circle is coming back for more dot-gobbling and ghost-dodging.

Publisher Bandai Namco has announced Pac-Man Championship Edition 2. It debuts PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam this September. Pac-Man is one of the most recognizable game characters in the world. The original arcade game came out in 1980 and became one of the first breakout hits in the industry, paving the way for the arcade culture that was popular throughout the ’80s. Its success lead to sequels, cartoons, and even a top-10 hit single. The Championship Edition gives the classic, maze-based gameplay some modern flair (and lots of neon). It revitalized the series and introduced Pac-Man to a new generation while also taking advantage of the early days of the digital game market (thanks to Xbox Live).
