Would Vegeta make a decent prosecutor? Would you ever suspect Bart Simpson’s dog, Santa’s Little Helper, of committing a violent crime? Is Evangelion’s Shinji Ikari capable of murder?

These are the pressing questions addressed in a gaming mash-up by Castor Troy of Video Game AMV Projects. The video tells the story of 14-year-old Shinji, who is framed for murder. With few options, he turns to Phoenix Wright, ace attorney. But it’ll take all his skills, the help of some friends, and a little encouragement to get Shinji off the hook.

Beyond the hilarity of the cross-over and the not-so-subtle inclusion of Dragon Ball Z characters, the music of the video really caught my attention. If you’re as much a fan of in-game music as I am, you’ll certainly enjoy Video Game Project 4. Originally aired at Anime Weekend Atlanta in 2007, the project is an on-going, community-supported endeavor to combine the soundtracks of anime and video games into several catch medleys [via Video Game AMV Projects].
